Cyprus president in stable condition

President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades is in a stable condition and is recovering in the ICU at Mount Sinai hospital in Manhattan, following a successful heart operation on Tuesday.
In a written statement, Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulides said the “surgical procedure which the President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades underwent yesterday at “Mount Sinai” hospital in New York was absolutely successful”.
The procedure was performed by heart surgeon Professor Dr David Adams and concerned the repair of the mitral and the tricuspid heart valve.
