The foreign ministers of Greece and Turkey on Thursday clashed on a wide range of issues during a heated news conference that underscored the trouble the two historic rivals will have at mending their broken ties, Agence France-Presse reported.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry continues with its provocative rhetoric. On Sunday, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy, defending the Turkey-Libya agreement, argued that the so-called “Ankara-Tripolis Memorandum of Understanding” is in line with court rulings establishing international jurisprudence and international law.

Alternate Citizen Protection Minister Giorgos Koumoutsakos is visiting Ankara on Thursday.
