Russia officially opened its TurkStream natural gas pipeline on Wednesday, further diversifying export routes to Europe amid a backlash from the U.S.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will sign an agreement on EastMed in January 2 in Athens. The agreement will be concluded following Italy’s signing.
Greece, Cyprus, Italy and Israel have reached an agreement on the EastMed gas pipeline, the Cypriot channel Sigma reported, noting that it will be signed in early 2020.
