IPPR Study Determines Cypriot Self-Employment Increase

The British Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) conducted a survey, that determined Cyprus was one out of three EU nations, that held at least a 10% rise in its self-employment figure, between 2013 to 2014.

As reported in the study, Cyprus' self-employed workers enlarged by 12%. Slovenia ranked first with 16%, and Bulgaria rated third with 10%.

Concerning the total amount of individuals that own their own companies, Greece ranked first at 32%, Italy placed second at 23%, Poland, Romania and FYROM held 18%, while Cyrus placed sixth at 17%.

The IPPR's study stated that Eastern and Southern European nations generally have a greater amount of self-employed citizens, compared to Western Europe.
