Nicolas Cage in Megara for the filming of a movie about Jesus - Attacked by bees
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Nicolas Cage has been in Greece for a few weeks now.
The popular actor came to Greece for the filming of his new movie, entitled "The Carpenter's Son", with the shooting taking place in Megara.
He will even star in the film (as Joseph), which focuses on the childhood of Jesus.
According to ERT, the filming was planned to take place in caves, but the plans were changed, while Cage disagreed with the production's proposal to shoot the film in Algeria and suggested Greece.
The problem with the caves in Megara was that Nicolas Cage was attacked by a swarm of wild bees, so he decided to shoot in an outdoor location rented by the production.
It should be emphasized that this is the second time the actor is in Greece for filming needs, after the award-winning "Captain Corelli's Mandolin", which was filmed in Kefalonia.
The film "The Carpenter's Son" is expected to be shown in Easter 2025, while children from the Megara area are also participating. Some scenes of the film will also be shot in Romania.
