Midday execution in Exarchia

A murderous attack left one person dead in the Exarchia neighborhood of Athens shortly after 11:30 am.
According to information so far, two people aboard a motorcycle and wearing hoods, to camouflage the features of their face, opened fire on a person on the pedestrian way of Themistokleous Street. The bullets hit him in the head, chest and abdomen. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition and eventually expired two hours later.
Information indicates that the perpatrators shot at least 6 times, thus seriously injure the man, who is about 35 years. Early indications show that the perpetrators had set up ambush their victim and shot just came out of a building on 88 Themistokleous Street.
Police and an ambulance arrived on the scene carrying the victim of the attack to the hospital "Red Cross". The injured person is a foreigner, and security measures in the hospital were draconian. Even the nurses entering the room were inspected by police.
Officers Police estimate that this was a criminal act between individuals involved in drug trafficking. The injured, was a known criminal to Police and has previously been implicated in various cases, including stabbings.
As it became known to the police, the victim is of Arab origin and allegedly involved in drug trafficking, likely on behalf of a foreign group.
