Katerina Stefanidi awarded gold in pole vault in Rio

Athlete Katerina Stefanidi was officially awarded the gold medal in women’s pole vault during a ceremony on Sunday morning, after jumping 4.85 metres in Rio’s Olympics the day before.
She is the first Greek athlete to take top spot at this sport. Stefanidi was followed by USA's Sandi Morris and New Zealand's Eliza McCartney who took silver and bronze respectively.
She will carry the Greek flag on behalf of the country’s delegation during the closing ceremony in Brazil.
