Striking cabbies attack Uber drivers
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Scuffles and fisticuffs occurred around Marni Street in downtown Athens when taxi drivers on strike, reacting to multinational platforms over the Internet, encountered Uber drivers.
They immediately gathered around the cars and began to harass the drivers, followed by kicks to the cars causing the police to intervene so that the drivers would be allowed to continue on their way. The strike of the taxi drivers will continue until Tuesday afternoon at 5, while at this time the members of the taxi drivers union are making their way to the center of Athens.
