Actor Jonathan Jackson gives Emmy Award to Orthodox Monastery on Mount Athos

In a display of his profound faith and love of Orthodox Christianity, Hollywood star Jonathan Jackson offered his 2005 Emmy Award statue to the Monastery of Vatopedi in the Holy Mount Athos.
The actor was on Mount Athos celebrating the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
During the festive Vigil, where the fathers offered the traditional treats, the popular actor revealed the surprise!
Jonathan Jackson had the gold statuette with him and handed it to the visiting Metropolitan of Atlanta, Alexios. Then Abbot Ephraim thanked the artist for his decision and wished him every blessing in his life and career.
During the 2012 Emmy Award ceremony, the American actor had dedicated his victory to the monks of Mount Athos.
