Pharmacist killed in mafia style execution
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
A mafia style execution left a pharmacist dead in Psychiko. According to what has become known at 9.35 on Saturday morning at the junction of Plastira and Ionia streets in Neo Psychiko, a stranger approached the 57-year-old man while leaving his car, a black Mercedes, in the parking lot of his home.
The man approached the pharmacist, who immobilized his vehicle and lowered the window. A few seconds later, the unknown began to shoot, probably with a revolver. Then he ran away from the spot and boarded a red Volkswagen in which someone was waiting for him.
All of this was done in front of the fearful eyes of the patrons of a cafeteria across the street. Eyewitnesses said they heard at least seven shots while seeing a man walk away from the spot immediately after the attack.
The man was transferred to the hospital where his death was recorded. As has been known, he was a pharmacist in the profession. According to the neighbors, the pharmacist is married to a doctor and live many years in the area.
The police control the traffic management cameras in Mesogeion and Kifissias avenues and the surrounding streets in order to locate the escape route of the perpetrators.
Because the pharmacist's name is Floros, initially there was an alarm as there were fears that the shots would be related to the case of Aristides Floros of Energa. However, after the relevant investigations it was found that this is coincidental and that the two cases are not related.
