Thessaloniki port starts tender process for extension of Pier 6

According to the timetable, after the Thessaloniki Port Authority (ThPO) screens and preselects a number of concession applicants, it will issue an invitation to them to submit binding offers. The deadline for this stage's submission is February 7. The deadline for submitting binding offers in tentatively set in April 2020.

The project includes at a minimum the following: construction of an additional wall to the platforms, extending the current one (Wall 26) by at least 440 meters; the dredging of the shipping lane and the area for turnarounds of ships, and communication networks and services.

Applicants must "already have special experience of constructing ports" within the last decade and worked on projects worth 80 million euros in total at least.
