Musician loses fingers to firecracker - Faces charges on possession of explosives

A criminal case against musician Aris Mougopetros has been filed by the Greek National Police (ELAS) for the explosion of a firecracker during a party in the early hours of Easter Monday.
Specifically, he is accused of violating the law "on flares and fireworks", regarding what happened at a traditional party held in Tripotama, Achaia, which resulted in him losing two fingers.

According to the Greek National Police (ELAS), everything happened in the early hours of Easter Monday, around 6:00, when the clarinet virtuoso was holding a lit blue firecracker in his hands.
According to eyewitnesses, he was showing it off a few seconds before it exploded in his hands, resulting in him being seriously injured.
He was initially transferred to Tripoli General Hospital and then to Athens and more specifically to the KAT.
