Award Ceremony: "2026 Capital Link Sustainability Ladership Award" - Alexandra Palli-Giannakopoulou

The “Capital Link Sustainability Forum”, entitled “Public & Private Sector with a Vision of Sustainability”, was held for the 16th consecutive year with great success and high participation, confirming its role as one of the most important institutions for dialogue on sustainable development in Greece, highlighting the decisive role of cooperation between the state, businesses and society in shaping a sustainable development model. The Conference was held on May 26, 2026 at the Divani Caravel Hotel, under the auspices of SEV – Federation of Greek Enterprises and Industries and CSR Hellas, with the participation of high-ranking representatives of the government, the business community, international organizations and institutional bodies.
Through the discussions and interventions of the speakers, the need to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors was highlighted to create a modern, resilient and sustainable development model, capable of responding to the economic, social and environmental challenges of the time. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of responsible entrepreneurship, innovation, investments with a positive social and environmental footprint, as well as the integration of ESG principles into the strategy of organizations and businesses.
The Conference concluded with the awarding of the “2026 Capital Link Sustainability Leadership Award” to Ms. Alexandra Palli-Giannakopoulou, Deputy Regional Governor for Entrepreneurship & European Programming of the Attica Region and President of CSR Hellas, in recognition of her long-term and substantial contribution to the promotion of sustainable development, responsible entrepreneurship and the dissemination of ESG principles in Greece and internationally.
The award was presented by the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Nikitas Michael Kaklamanis, giving particular prestige and high symbolism to the award while at the same time highlighting the importance of Ms. Palli-Giannakopoulou’s contribution and work in the field of sustainability and socially responsible development.
In his warm speech, the President of the Parliament stated, among other things, “Alexandra Palli-Giannakopoulou has business experience, institutional consistency, European presence, and social sensitivity, combining the economy with responsibility and social cohesion with respect for the environment.
\However, beyond her studies and professional career, she is above all a mother of four children and a woman who has managed to successfully combine family with a particularly dynamic and substantial presence in the public and business spheres. In a period where demographics constitute one of the most important challenges for our country, her personal path acquires even greater value and symbolism. Congratulations Alexandra, for together with your successful professional pursuits you have built a family with your life partner. You absolutely deserve today’s award.”
The opening of the award ceremony was announced from the podium by Mr. Nikos Bornozis, President of Capital Link, and Ms. Olga Bornozis, Managing Director of the company.
In their short speech, they stated, among other things: “With vision, consistency and active presence in the institutional, business and social space, Ms. Alexandra Palli-Giannakopoulou has established herself as one of the most influential personalities in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility. Through her actions and initiatives, she has substantially contributed to the promotion of a modern development model that connects economic progress with social cohesion, environmental responsibility and the creation of long-term value for society.
In the context of her role as Deputy Regional Governor of Attica, she has actively supported initiatives that enhance entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable development at the regional level, while strengthening the interconnection of the public and private sectors. At the same time, as President of CSR Hellas, she contributed decisively to further strengthening the institutional role of the Network, promoting cooperation between businesses, institutional bodies and civil society and enhancing the dissemination of modern practices of sustainable development and responsible governance.
Her overall course and contribution have been a point of reference for the business and institutional community, confirming the importance of leadership with vision, responsibility and a substantial social footprint.
A special video dedicated to the honoree's journey and work followed, while Mr. Bornozis then invited the President of the Parliament to the podium to present the award. After Mr. Kaklamanis's short speech, Ms. Palli-Giannakopoulou received the award and delivered a speech of thanks, referring to the importance of collective effort, cooperation and continuous commitment for a more sustainable future.
