Brazilian billionaire and investor in major Latin American companies, Lucas Dzierva De Lima and his beautiful wife Mariana Brandao wanted the most important day of their lives to have a strong Greek flavor.

“The celebrations began with a pre-wedding event inspired by Ancient Greece,” describes Anna Sourbati, who designed the original setting.

“At the entrance, the Twelve Gods of Olympus welcomed the guests, inviting them to a setting that paid homage to Greek mythology. The decoration was in shades of gold and white, with ancient Greek statues, gold-painted olive branches and hundreds of candles that created an atmosphere that was imposing but at the same time warm and welcoming.”

All the guests were dressed in black, while the bride stood out in an impressive gold dress. Even the last detail was in harmony with the concept of the evening. “The table numbers were made of marble and were engraved, in Greek script, with the names of the Gods of Olympus.

The evening concluded with an authentic Greek feast, where guests danced, broke dishes and experienced Greek hospitality and tradition, in an experience designed to introduce them to Greek culture,” she adds. The next day, the wedding took place in an extremely impressive setting. “More than 7,000 white hydrangeas created a white wave of flowers that embraced the ceremony space, while the bride walked down a 64-meter-long aisle until she reached the point where the mystery would take place.

Her entrance was accompanied by a musical ensemble that had traveled especially from abroad, consisting of a piano and three violins, giving the moment an atmosphere of deep emotion and timeless elegance,” notes the event planner.

The first night concluded with an authentic Greek feast

A refined palette of white and green was chosen for the decoration, with an emphasis on textures, naturalness and the feeling of a blooming Mediterranean garden curated by “Studio 7”.

“Particular emphasis was also given to the buffets, as Brazilian culture is inextricably linked to abundance. Plates on different levels with seasonal fruits and vegetables created a luxurious theatrical setting. Artichokes, grapes, oranges, pomegranates and strawberries were placed in imposing pyramids, like a modern work of art that combined the Brazilian aesthetic of abundance with Mediterranean elegance”.

After dinner, the celebrations moved to the interior of “Amanzoe”, which had been transformed in accordance with the spirit of the evening: velvet curtains draped the space, creating a mysterious atmosphere, while in the center was an impressive LED-lit dance floor that became the heart of the party until the early hours of the morning. At the climax of the evening, guests were led to a completely secret after-after party: the library of “Amanzoe” had been transformed into an entertainment venue, offering a completely different experience and completing the celebration in the most impressive way.

Anna Sourbati has won many accolades in the organization of events and especially weddings. With significant experience in the field of advertising (at the companies McCann Erickson and Spot Thompson) and marketing (Deloudis), she decided many years ago to spread her wings for a more personal career that would be based on her taste and her endless creativity. “My first involvement with the field was when I brought the famous chocolate fountains to Greece: an installation that was an event in itself. These fountains starred in big nights, such as the opening of the Valentino boutique in Athens, the Attica department store and the Golden Hall shopping center, but also the wedding of Vasilis with Chara Kaisari, among many others”, she notes.
