40 Greek wineries in London, the big bet for Greek wine
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
One of the biggest Wine Events is being prepared these days. 40 Greek wineries with “great” wines will be in London in October.
More than 240 Greek wines are participating in the largest international action to date of Great Greek Wines, under the signature of the Greek Master of Wine, Yannis Karakasis.
Greek wine in the place it deserves
The event will take place on October 19 at OXO2, in the heart of the South Bank, on the banks of the Thames.
Great Greek Wines, founded by Yannis Karakasis MW, is today the most important independent initiative for the promotion of Greek wine abroad. Through its annual blind wine evaluation and its international actions, it seeks to strengthen the presence of Greek wine in the most important markets in the world.
After events in Brussels, Warsaw, Hamburg and Sylt, this year’s return to London is the platform’s largest venture to date in the United Kingdom, a market of particular importance for Greek wine exports.
Walk Around Tasting with Greek wines
The program includes the Panorama Walk Around Tasting, where the producers themselves will present their wines, as well as the masterclass Greek Terroirs: An In-Depth Exploration, with Yiannis Karakasis MW as speaker, dedicated to the geographical and varietal diversity of the Greek vineyard.
The event is exclusively aimed at wine professionals, importers, buyers, sommeliers, journalists and opinion leaders of the British market.
