Zen soap for all uses

Katerina Gounaris is a chemist, who became impassioned with soap production when she started preparing soaps for her personal use.

At some point as she noted, that she began making soap to treat a skin condition she had developed while studying for her chemistry degree, benefiting herself and others.

Originally her soap making was based on using herbs and making various soaps for various uses. As she progressed she found out that she wanted to make one product for all uses. So she came up with ZEN, a soap made of 100% olive oil, water and sodium hydroxide (caustic soda).

As she says, her soap can be used for everything and its purity makes it ideal for all uses from personal hygiene to cleaning or disinfecting and cleaning a room. It can be used to clean your hair, face, body, but also your floors, bathrooms, dishes, marble, clothes, plants, windows,

When asked where she came up with the name, she explained that the name was a reference to the simplicity and purity of her product, and its minimalistic aesthetics.

As she says the whole concept was devised as a way to get the soap to consumers all over the world.
