Greek citizenship give to late Panathinaikos footballer, George Baldock's son

Greek citizenship was granted to the son of the late Panathinaikos footballer, George Baldock.
Yesterday, Tuesday, the Government Gazette was published, granting Greek citizenship to Brody Baldock.
As it turns out, George Baldock had filed a request to acquire Greek citizenship for his one-year-old son, on September 16, that is, just 25 days before his death.
Specifically, the Government Gazette states:
“With the reference Φ.125119/2024/0009470/ 21-10-2024 statement of the Head of the Athens Citizenship Directorate, of the Ministry of the Interior, issued in accordance with par. 4 of article 26 of the Greek Citizenship Code (Law 3284/2004, A’ 217), the request of the minor’s father dated 16-09-2024 with the following details: (surname) BALDOCK, (first name) BRONDY GEORGE, (patronymic) GEORGE HENRY IVOR, born in the UNITED KINGDOM on 09-10-2023, for the acquisition of Greek citizenship with the legal basis of acquisition being article 2 of Law 3284/2004”.
