Maria Menounos: On pilgrimage to Aegina - "Yes, I heard Saint Nektarios again and almost constantly"
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Maria Menounos went on a pilgrimage to the monastery of Saint Nektarios in Aegina with her daughter, posting the relevant photos on Instagram.
This was the second time that the Greek-American presenter made this trip to visit the monastery.
As she states in her post, "people from all over the world travel to listen to his tomb and they say that the very faithful can hear him. I thank him every day for this experience. We returned to this trip again and it was so beautiful. And yes, I heard him again, this time almost non-stop.”
In the album from the visit, Maria Menounos also includes photos of a special prayer performed by a priest in memory of her mother who passed away in 2021.
“If you don’t know Saint Nektarios, he is the healing saint in the Greek Orthodox Church. We have been blessed by many miracles from him. Watch the movie “Man of God” to learn his story. It is incredible,” Maria Menounos concludes her post.
Maria Menounos’ entire post from her pilgrimage to Aegina
“Two years ago we visited the island of Aegina and had an incredibly moving experience hearing Saint Nektarios knocking on his tomb. People from all over the world travel to listen to his tomb and they say that the very faithful can hear him. I thank him every day for this experience. We went back on this trip again and it was so beautiful. And yes, I listened to him again and this time almost non-stop.
The priest said a special prayer for my mom’s memory and blessed Athena and me. It was very special to share those moments with my daughter ?
