Greek Patriots in Saudi Arabia prevented a drone attack - The targets were shot down

An incident involving hostile unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and Greek Patriots in Saudi Arabia occurred during the night.
In particular, the Patriot Guided Missile Battery of the Hellenic Forces in Saudi Arabia (ELDYSA) participated in an operational action by launching three missiles that shot down the hostile targets, in cooperation with Saudi Arabian air defense systems.
ELDYSA is in the region within the framework of Greece's participation in the international initiative "Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) Concept", with the mission of supporting the air defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The announcement
"It is known that during the midnight hours today, Thursday 27 August 2026, the PATRIOT Guided Missile Artillery of the Hellenic Force of Saudi Arabia (ELDYSA), within the framework of its participation in the mission of the international initiative "Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) Concept" to support the air defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, engaged a number of enemy Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), launching 3 missiles. The targets were shot down jointly with the cooperating air defense systems of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.">
