Hellenic Deflation Rates Advance
Last month, Hellenic consumer rates decreased by 2%, with the yearly rate of deflation advancing from a 1.3% decline in April prices, as revealed in an ELSTAT report today.
Previously, Reuters predicted a -1.9% figure which the nation surpassed. The EU deflation rate decelerated to -2.1% last month, compared to -1.6% in April; less than the -2.2% predicted rate by financial experts.
November brought Greece's highest ever deflation levels, at 2.9%. Last month, Eurozone inflation decreased to 0.5%; a worrisome figure of less than 1%.
