Greece Signs Agreements with Azerbaijan

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Greek President Karolos Papoulias attended a ceremony where three intergovernment agreements, including one on agriculture, were signed.
After the meeting in an expanded format, the ceremony of signing Azerbaijani-Greek documents was held. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Greek president Karolos Papoulias attended the ceremony.
An agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture, a memorandum on cooperation for the European Union issues of Azerbaijan and a memorandum on cooperation in the field of youth between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs of Greece were signed by Azerbaijan ministers and Foreign minister Evangelos Venizelos.
After the ceremony of signing documents, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Greece Karolos Papoulias made statements for the press. The President also met with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.
During the meeting, the sides expressed their satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral relations between the countries in various fields. The parties noted that there were good prospects for the expansion of cooperation in the economic sphere, as well as energy, transport, agricultural and other fields.
After the meeting, an official dinner reception was hosted on behalf of Prime Minister of Greece Antonis Samaras in honor of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
