Three young Sumatran tiger cubs were born at the Attica Zoological Park

According to a post by the Attica Park on Facebook, it is estimated that only 400 Sumatran tigers are left in the wild, which makes each new birth important for the protection of the species.

The two males and one female have already undergone their first veterinary examination, during which they were microchipped and given their first vaccines, with the aim of monitoring their health and development.

“Three Sumatran tiger cubs were born at the Attica Zoological Park!

We are very pleased to announce the birth of three Sumatran tiger cubs, two males and one female.

Today, the cubs underwent their first veterinary check-up, during which they were microchipped and given their first vaccinations. Our veterinary team also carried out a detailed health check-up to monitor their development and general well-being.

The Sumatran tiger is one of the most endangered tiger subspecies in the world, with an estimated 400 individuals left in the wild. Habitat loss, poaching and human-wildlife conflict continue to pose serious threats to their survival.
