Greek coast guard and port authorities have been placed on high alert to cope with increased travelers’ traffic on Wednesday and Thursday at Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio ports ahead of a three-day extended holiday weekend.
Ticket reservations for the Cycladic islands have reached 80-100 percent, while most tickets for Crete, the Eastern Aegean, the Dodecanese and the Argosaronic Guld islands have been already sold.
According to port authorities, on Wednesday 20 boats had been scheduled to leave Piraeus while another 10 would depart from Rafina and 5 from Lavrio.
Automated information on arrivals and departures is available by phone on 14944 (Hellenic Telecoms line) and 14541 (Piraeus Port Authority line).
