Papakostantinou to face special court in February
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Special Court justice Nikolaos Passos on Monday set a date of February 25, 2015 for the trial of former finance minister Giorgos Papakonstantinou on charges relating to his handling of the so-called 'Lagarde list' - a CD supplied by French authorities giving the names of Greeks with bank accounts at a Swiss branch of HSBC.
The former minister faces charges of tampering with a public document, compounded by the aggravating circumstances of a 1950 law on embezzlement from the state, as well as criminal charges of attempted breach of trust.
The trial will be held at the Athens Appeals Court general purpose courtroom on Alexandras Avenue.
