EU Summit: Focus on Illegal Immigration and Youth Unemployment

The group of EU countries wanting measures for immigration is growing. The issue is at the focus of the EU summit winding down today.
Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia are demanding the strengthening of the EU's border watchdog FRONTEX and the establishment of a special Task Force for illegal immigration, under the oversight of the European Commission.
France might join this group of countries, according to diplomatic sources.
The summit also dealt with unemployment among the younger generations.
European leaders are also seeking ways to facilitate access of small and medium-sized enterprises to funding, on the basis of the European Investment Bank.
