Varoufakis: Eurogroup meeting taping 'a fairytale'
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis on Thursday rejected a New York Times article claiming that he taped Eurogroup's meeting in Riga and called it "fairytales, fairytales, fairytales".
Upon his arrival at the Finance Ministry, Varoufakis also said that "after so many weeks of leaks and absurd lies of what has been allegedly said in there, I have proved in practice my absolute respect to the confidentiality of all these talks and you understand what I'm saying". Asked if he is concerned for the economy, Varoufakis stated that "a country's minister that is in the middle of such harsh negotiations should be afraid otherwise he is dangerous. We feel fear but we are not frightened."
