Illegal antiquities discovered after shoplifting

The arrest of a 37-year old Greek and a 47-year old Ukrainian woman who removed products of small monetary value from supermarkets, led police to the discovery of illegal activities of the couple.
In a search conducted in the basement apartment, where they live, police found and seized 37 ancient artifacts, among them stone tools, pottery, and amphorae.
In addition, police seized a military firearm, 13 bullets and cartridges of various types and calibers, one magazine, five axes and knives, drugs, tablets and various documents, among them a forged Albanian passport.
Preliminary investigation and research on the subject is being carried out by Ioannina Security.
