Obama calls for 'successful outcome' in Greece's negotiations

U.S. President Barack Obama held talks on the telephone with Greece's Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras late on Tuesday, during which Obama expressed Washington's "strong desire for a successful outcome" in the negotiations.
Correcting earlier reports concerning the phone call, government sources said on Tuesday that Tsipras had outlined the overall situation and the positions of the Greek government during the conversation with the U.S. President, not the specific proposal that the Greek government intends to discuss with its European partners.
