Greece will be "paralyzed" on Thursday because of the strike called by all trade unions involved in the 24-hour general strike that was declared by the general public sector confederation GSEE and civil servants union ADEDY.
GSEE "invites employees to participate in the 24-hour general strike and demonstrations on November 12 against the whirlwind measures degradaing the living standards of Greek society," while ADEDY states that "a vote for the 3rd Memorandum, by an extensive Parliamentary majority, came to confirm the most horrendous scenarios for the future of workers, the unemployed, pensioners, and youth. "
As decided by the Board of the Greek Confederation of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (ESEE) merchants will participate in demonstrations and gatherings planned for Thursday, after the relevant decisions of local chambers and federations.
Media will also participate in the 24-hour strike, as announced by the Panhellenic Federation of Journalists, that took the decision to involve journalists in the nationwide strike on Thursday.
