SYRIZA president Alexis Tsipras attempted to dampen things down within the party as a feud has been raging inside the party over statements made By deputy and popular author Petros Tatsopoulos.
Speaking to the SYRIZA parliamentary group, Mr. Tsipras noted the need for freedom of speech, and for more solidarity and unity. Mr. Tsipras also stated his disapproval of what was written in social media against Mr. Tatsopoulos.
Petros Tatsopoulos, on his part stated, "I'm not a jester, nor a call girl, while for some I'm now the lackey of Golden Dawn," referring to comments made by other party members against him on social media, and by the head of left leaning newspaper Avgi, Vasilis Moulopoulos.
Mr. Tatsopoulos has been known to be outspoken, very often scandalizing his party comrades.
