Tsipras: Greece will implement everything agreed, "nothing less, nothing more"
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The Greek side will implement those agreed, "nothing less, nothing more," Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Wednesday said at the party's political secretariat meeting.
According to party's sources, Tsipras underlined that the immediate conclusion of the program review is in the interest of all sides. The prime minister noted that Greece and EU have reached common ground in the negotiations and reiterated the government's commitment to protect low and middle incomers. Therefore, demands for cuts on main pensions will not be made acceptable as they were not included in the summer agreement.
On the refugee issue, he said that the agreement reached in the EU-Turkey summit is a positive development as it is based on cooperation with Turkey and not on the "de facto legalization" of unilateral practices.
