Two dead in cooking gas cannister explosion in Moria hotspot

A 60-year old Kurdish woman refugee fron Iraq and her grandchild died when a cooking gas cannister exploded late Thursday in the hotspot of Moria on Lesvos.
Two more persons, a woman and her child, have been seriously injured, suffering from serious burns and were transferred to an Athens hospital.
The fire that broke out burnt tents and other material was contained at 03:00 on Friday.
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was briefed on Friday morning by Migration Minister Yiannis Mouzalas on the situation.
