The programme "Advertising - Promotion of Tourism Programmes", budgeted 8 million euros, was included in the Public Investments Programme at a decision of Alternate Economy and Development Minister Alexis Charitsis.
The programme concerns complete advertising campaigns for the promotion of the Greek tourist product in international markets.
"Recognizing the importance of tourism to the economy and employment, we secured the necessary resources for the effective promotion and advertising of Greek tourism in international markets in 2017. Our goal is to achieve record arrivals and revenue from tourism, as well as to support the regions of North and South Aegean hurt by the refugee flows," Charitsis underlined.
