We are strengthening the strategic cooperation between Greece and China, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras posted on Twitter upon his arrival to Beijing.
"Arrival in Beijing for the Belt And Road Forum. We are strengthening the strategic cooperation between Greece and China," he said.
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is visiting China on May 12-15 to attend the two-day “Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation” (BRF) in Beijing, organized by the Chinese government.
According to his official schedule, Tsipras will meet with world leaders and heads of international organizations on the sidelines of the forum, among which, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang.
On May 12-13, the prime minister will meet with representatives of investment, banking and business groups. The schedule is presented in local time (Beijing +5 hours from Greece):
