Refugees, migrants evacuated from old Athens airport site

Greek police are evacuating on Friday hundreds of migrants and refugees from a makeshift shelter set up inside the abandoned buildings of Athens' former Helliniko airport.
According to sources, the procedure is evolving smoothly.
Police said about 60 refugees will be transferred to Thebes, 50 to Inofyta and 50 to Derveni.
In statements to the press, the head of the United Movement against Racism and Fascist Threat KEERFA said that around 25 families living in the former aiport opposed last night to their transfer to Thebes.
