Three fire fighters injured in Zevgolatio fire in Corinth

Three fire fighters were injured during fire-fighting operations in Zevgolatio, Corinth on Thursday, while trying to put out a wildfire burning through mixed forest and farm land.
They were taken to the Corinth Hospital, where one was reported to be in a more serious condition.
The three men were injured when an agricultural machine they were using to approach the fire front, which was inaccessible to fire brigade vehicles, tipped over.
The head of the fire brigade Lieut. General Vassilis Kapelios went to visit the injured in hospital. A fire brigade Super-Puma helicopter took one of the inured in more serious condition to the 251 Air Force hospital in Athens.
