Greek Post (EL.TA) has unveiled a commemorative stamp series entitled "The Seven Sages (wise men) of Antiquity", using a brass etching method by Athens-based fine arts professor Yannis Gourzis.
The Seven Sages lived in various parts of ancient Greece in the 6th and 7th century BC and are considered the forerunners of Classical Greek philosophy, as expressed by Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, who followed centuries later.
