Macron talks with Tsipras about investments and the Greek program, over coffee and croissants

Political and economic developments were on the table along with coffee and croissants, at the meeting of the Greek Prime Minister with the President of the French Republic.
The reception of Mr. Tsipras by Emmanuel Macron was particularly warm. Upon arrival, he waited for the Greek Prime Minister at the door of the presidential mansion and descended to welcome him when Mr Tsipras exited the limousine.
The working breakfast lasted about 76 minutes, half an hour longer than the team foreseen by protocol.
According to government sources, the two leaders discussed political developments in Europe, the course of the Greek program, coordination to promote the necessary reforms for the Eurozone and the future of Europe, as well as the acceleration of French investment in Greec .
At the departure of Mr. Tsipras, the two leaders continued to talk on the steps. No statements were made after the meeting.
Finally, Alexis Tsipras and Emmanuel Macron agreed to schedule the next meeting of the countries of southern Europe for January 2018.
