Athens jolted by 4.1 tremor
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The inhabitants of Athens were shaken and anxious by a 4.1 Richter earthquake at 23:50 on Tuesday night, with an epicenter in the area between Afidnes and Kapandriti, in Attica.
However, seismologists are reassuring and argue that this is a natural continuation of the earthquakes that occurred in early January in the area of Marathon.
According to the measurements, the earthquake was 4.1 degrees on the Richter scale - as the Geodynamic Institute eventually announced and not 4.2 Richter as was the original estimation.
There were no reports of injuries or damage from the Fire Brigade.
