Director of Migration Policy calls out Wrong-doings and gets Sacked

Director of the Migration Policy Department, Andreas Iliopoulos, let loose accusations against the government's immigration policy.
The retired General and direct associate of Dimitris Vitsas, Minister of Immigration Policy, admits to the newspaper "Phileleftheros", that there are indications of widespread mismanagement of funds by both the state mechanism and NGOs that handle Community funds. He says, "that control has been lost, chaos prevails," and that the islands will soon resemble Idomeni, the haphazard camp that had sprung up on the border with FYROM.
It urges European and Greek Authorities and Prosecutors to look for evidence and to carry out extensive research. At the same time, there is an alarm over the dangers of thousands of refugees and migrants in the plight of the Reception Centers under the responsibility of the government.
Minister Vitsas characterized the allegations of the former General as untrue and lies, in a statement to the AMAN news agency, adding that he had already requested Mr Iliopoulos' resignation prior to his statements, and had started the procedures to strip him of his post.
The Minister of Immigration Policy even revealed in his statements to the AMNA that he had already requested the resignation of Mr. Iliopoulos because he was insufficient in his duties.
Mr Iliopoulos countered with a statement of his own:
"I would challenge Mr. Vitsas to tell us what are the "failures to respond to my duties" and of course I dare him to name the "untruth" I mentioned in my Phileleftheros interview. The rest is for the Prosecutor."
