A different event was held by the Center for Urban Reform in cooperation with the American Consulate in Thessaloniki and the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce, which concerned business prospects and innovation in Thessaloniki and Northern Greece as they formed after the significant presence of the United States as the honored country at the 83rd TIF. last September.
Speakers at the event were:
Gregory W. Pfleger, Jr., Consul General of the United States, in Thessaloniki.; Chip Laitinen, Financial Attaché of the US Embassy in Athens; Alexandros Kostopoulos, from the Board of Directors of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce and FORESIGHT CEO, and Ioannis Chountis, President of KE.AS.M.
The event was attended by more than 170 young people in Thessaloniki, who also highlighted the interest of the younger generation to seize the new prospects.
The Consul General of the United States Mr. Pfleger noted that there are significant and clear opportunities and prospects for Northern Greece for which US businesses show strong and steady interest.
Mr Laitinen noted the need to continue the bold reforms for the recovery of the Greek economy.
Alexandros Kostopoulos said it was a unique juncture with unprecedented interest from US companies and the US government, a juncture that the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce is determined with its members and society to make the most of.
All the speakers stood on the fact that the audience was mainly young people, students, young entrepreneurs and professionals who participated with significant interventions in the debate.
It is worth noting that the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce has already presented through its committees a package of proposals and direct interventions to strengthen the strong momentum of the multi-faceted Greek-American relations.
