Featured Hitman killed in jail by co-accused

Two are the killers of Arber Bako who was murdered on Monday in Korydallos Prison.

Bako was slaughterd by another Albanian inmate, who is accused of being the natural perpetrator of the murder of Zafiropoulos.

However, according to information, two people were involved in the murder of Bako. The contribution of a Greek prisoner wa crucial as he held down Bako while the other Albanian stabbed him repeatedly.

Bako, who was accused of planning the murder of Zafiropoulos and the other Albanian accused as a natural perpetrator of the murder of a well-known lawyer, had been transferred from Domokos to Korydallos on Wednesday as the trial on the case would begin.

According to the information, the two Albanians, who were held in the same wing of the Korydallos Prison, were sitting and chatting on a bench. Next to them was the Greek prisoner.

At one point, the accused killer Zafeiropoulos attacked Bako with a knife while the Greek allegedly held him down. The accused as the natural perpetrator of the murder of Zafeiropoulos, slew Bako with multiple stabs.

The two criminals may, as police opined, have some disagreement on the occasion of the opening of the trial for the murder of the well known lawyer.

Arber Bako was known by the nicknames "Tamtakos" and "Michael" both in prison and the underworld.

31-year-old Boko in 2014 had fired a Kalashnikov assault rifle at the "Etsi Apla Ellinadiko" club in Mikrolimano, over a dancer, resulting in injuring 14 people, while along with another criminal he participated in the attempted murder of lawyer Antonopoulos.

Bako, as mentioned above, was still accused, as the instigator of the murder of Zafiropoulos.

Guards: They slaughtered him like a lamb

Through an announcement, the Federation of Prison Officers of Greece denounces the attitude of the Justice Ministry, stating that they are the instigators of the murder. "They slaughtered him like a lamb," the Guards say, and they question the leadership of the Justice Ministry.

In their announcement the Guards' federation questions the practices enforced in prisons that allow all sorts of wrongdoings to take place within prison walls, while wondering who the next victim will be.
