Farmers planning road blocks over unmet gas, produce price demands
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Greek farmers decided on protest actions in January over demands unmet by the Agriculture Ministry, at a meeting held in Nikea, Larissa region, on Sunday.
Representatives of several unions and federations are planning to block roads, possibly at the end of January, they said.
They will also drive their tractors to the Agrotica expo in Thessaloniki early in February, as part of the protests.
Issues they discussed at the central Greece meeting on Sunday focused on the price of gas, production costs, and the cost of produce.
