The first 58 unaccompanied refugee minors from Greek islands' hotspots are expected to arrive in Germany on Saturday, the German Interior Ministry spokesman Bjorn Grunewalder announced on Wednesday.
He added that Germany will receive a total of at least 350 unaccompanied refugee children.
The children will initially stay in Lower Saxony, for a two-week quarantine according to protocols related to the coronavirus pandemic. Following that, they will be distributed to various German states, depending on the cities and communities that have expressed interest in their relocation there.
