Twenty-five unaccompanied refugee children who were living on Greek islands travelled on Tuesday from Athens to Portugal, where they will be relocated.
The first 58 unaccompanied refugee minors from Greek islands' hotspots are expected to arrive in Germany on Saturday, the German Interior Ministry spokesman Bjorn Grunewalder announced on Wednesday.
Twelve unaccompanied refugee children from Syria and Afghanistan departed from Athens International Airport on Wednesday morning, to travel to Luxembourg on an Aegean Airlines flight.
Alternate Migration Minister Giorgos Koumoutsakos, the Ambassador of Luxembourg to Greece Paul Steinmetz and the special secretary for unaccompanied children Irini Agapidaki were at the airport to say goodbye.
