Seismic activity continues off Crete

A magnitude 4.5 earthquake shook the sea area at 04:09 87 km south of Ierapetra in Crete, or 454 km southeast of Athens, according to a statement from the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens.
The Institute describes this seismic vibration as "weak". The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake was 5.0 on the Richter scale and had a focal depth of 13.97 kilometers.
