Strong quake in Turkey rocks eastern Greek islands

According to AMNA, the quake was felt strongly on the east coast of Lesvos and Chios. According to the first measurements of the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the quake measured 5.2 on the Richter scale, focusing on the Turkish coast, 117 kilometers east - southeast of Mytilene.

CNN Turk reports that the quake measured 5.6 on the Richter scale and was felt from Balikesir and Aydin to Bursa and Istanbul. Many social media users reported feeling the quake. Milliyet, meanwhile, said the quake, which struck at 10:21 a.m., had a magnitude of 5.5 on the Richter scale and was located in the Manisa region, where its governor, Yasar Karadeniz, said no damage had been reported so far.

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale shook eastern Turkey yesterday, specifically in the town of Ozalp in Van province near the border with Iran.
