"Today we stand in solidarity with our American friends &allies in remembering the victims of the horrific terrorist attacks of #September11. Twenty years on, we honour their memory & stand united in our collective moral duty to #NeverForget & to continue to defend freedom& democracy," the Foreign Ministry said in a Twitter message.
Twenty years later, the Foreign Ministry said, "we remain united in our collective duty to defend freedom and democracy."
Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias also tweeted on the occasion of the 9/11 terrorist attack
