Man dies in Piraeus fire in blacksmith shop

The fire that broke out early in the morning in a blacksmith shop in Piraeus had a tragic conclusion.
The fire broke out in the early hours of Friday, February 4, in a shop in the center of Piraeus and specifically in a building on Eleftheriou Venizelou Street.
Five vehicles of the Fire Brigade with 14 firefighters and an ambulance rushed to put out the fire for precautionary reasons.
Man dead in the fire
Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control, while conducting a search to see if anyone was inside the ground floor store.
Firefighters spoke of a 64-year-old man who died from fumes.
Information states that the area of the ironworks where the fire broke out was used by its owner as a living space.
