Police intervention at Polytechnic squat space occupied for 20 years

Today, in the morning hours, the Attica Security Directorate evacuated occupied space at the School of Chemical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.
The space was given to the dean of the School after about twenty years. The material found inside the occupation is being examined by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
The operation involved police officers from the Attica Security Directorate, the Athens Police Directorate, the Criminal Investigations Directorate, the Direct Action Directorate, the Sub-Directorate for the Restoration of Order, as well as teams from the DIAS, Action and OPKE.
From the investigations that have been completed so far, helmets, poles, posters and banners have been found. Investigations continue to verify the details of those involved, while a preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Attica Security Directorate.
